Job summary

Axiom seeks an experienced Trade Compliance Attorney to advise technology, software, cloud, or SaaS clients on U.S. and international import/export controls, licensing, ECCN/HTS classification, and cross-border trade requirements.

The role emphasizes practical guidance in a technology or SaaS environment. You will collaborate with legal, product, engineering, and supply chain teams, monitor regulatory developments, and draft trade compliance policies and contracts.

Qualifications

• JD required and licensed to practice law.
• Experience advising technology, software, cloud, or SaaS companies on international trade compliance.
• Strong knowledge of import and export controls, ECCN/HTS classifications, and EAR.

Responsibilities

• Advise on U.S. and international import/export compliance, EAR, and trade regulations.
• Conduct and advise on export classification and ECCN determinations for software, technology, hardware.
• Support import and customs classification, HTS classifications, and related requirements.
• Assess licensing requirements, license exceptions, end-use restrictions, and country controls.
• Provide guidance on cross-border transfer of software, source code, and cloud services.
