In this role, you'll help ensure that our global supply chain operates efficiently while meeting complex regulatory requirements. You'll work closely with teams across sourcing, engineering, logistics, finance, and legal to provide guidance that protects our business, enables growth, and keeps products moving across borders. If you enjoy solving complex challenges, interpreting regulations, and influencing business decisions through expertise and partnership, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

What You'll Do
  • Serve as a subject‑matter expert for U.S. import and export compliance, independently managing complex, high‑risk determinations.
  • Perform and document tariff classification, country of origin, substantial transformation, and customs valuation analyses in accordance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations.
  • Evaluate and support Free Trade Agreement (FTA) qualification activities, including rules‑of‑origin assessments and supplier documentation reviews.
  • Support duty drawback activities, data validation, broker coordination, and regulatory review.
  • Execute export compliance responsibilities, including document verification and adherence to relevant U.S. export control regulations.
  • Translate regulatory requirements into practical business guidance that balances operational efficiency and compliance expectations.
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and audit‑ready documentation suitable for internal reviews, CBP inquiries, and external regulatory audits.
  • Exercise strong judgment and escalation discipline, ensuring timely resolution of trade compliance questions.
  • Partner cross‑functionally with Sourcing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, and logistics providers to resolve compliance issues.
  • Support process improvement initiatives and enhance documentation, controls, and trade compliance programs.
  • Assist with internal audits, external audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory inquiries as needed.
  • Lead the execution of complex U.S. trade compliance determinations with high accuracy and regulatory defensibility.
  • Provide expert‑level guidance to internal stakeholders and serve as a primary point of contact for trade compliance inquiries.
  • Ensure all assigned workstreams meet internal standards for documentation quality, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance.
  • Analyze compliance impacts of sourcing changes, new product introductions, manufacturing adjustments, and supply chain shifts.
  • Drive consistency and continuous improvement across trade compliance processes, tools, and documentation practices.
  • Support global initiatives aimed at strengthening corporate trade compliance frameworks and improving end‑to‑end controls.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in International Business, Supply Chain, Legal Studies, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of U.S. import/export compliance experience, including tariff classification, country of origin, valuation, and FTA qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience performing high‑judgment compliance determinations with minimal oversight.
  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations (19 CFR), CBP rulings, valuation rules, and substantial transformation standards.
  • Experience supporting export compliance and related documentation requirements.
  • Proficiency analyzing data to support duty drawback, FTA qualification, and regulatory reporting.
  • Ability to interpret, apply, and communicate complex regulatory requirements.
  • Strong analytical thinking, research ability, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent documentation, recordkeeping, and audit‑readiness discipline.
  • Ability to communicate complex regulatory concepts in clear, practical terms.
  • High level of independence, judgment, accountability, and ownership.
  • Strong cross‑functional collaboration and relationship‑building skills.
