Job summary

ConocoPhillips in the United States is seeking a Senior Advisor, Trade Compliance to act as the principal non-attorney resource for import compliance execution, including customs entry oversight, tariff classification, valuation, and country-of-origin determinations, translating requirements into pragmatic business procedures.

Reporting to the Lead Counsel, Import and Trade Compliance, you will collaborate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and cross‑functional teams to govern import

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree; 7+ years in import compliance or related regulatory areas.
• Experience supporting a trade compliance program in a complex corporate environment.
• Knowledge of U.S. customs laws, valuation, tariff classification, and recordkeeping.

Responsibilities

• Support the import compliance program and develop procedures for the business.
• Oversee customs broker activities and ensure entry quality.
• Support CTPAT, special duty programs, and ERP/trade tech modernization.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain and Commercial on cross-border transactions.
• Provide guidance on tariff classification, valuation, country-of-origin determinations.
