Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years HTSUS classification experience in a manufacturing, retail, or customs brokerage environment.
• FTA qualification experience, USMCA strongly preferred, including BOM-level regional value content and tariff shift analysis.
• Working knowledge of ACE, CBP rulings research, and entry documentation.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, bills of material, and technical specifications.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with external service providers and cross-functional internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Tariff Classification - determine, review, and document HTSUS, Schedule B, and ECCN classifications for finished appliances subassemblies, components, and service parts with internal and external support.
• Build and maintain the internal classification database of records including BOM-level attributes and supporting documentation.
• Apply rules and rulings to complex determinations, including Section 232/301 analyses; prepare binding rulings and analyses.
• Support development and improvement of SOPs, review cadences, and NPI processes with Engineering, Sourcing and Product Management.
• Governance: review work by providers, elevate issues, and support post-entry activities and audits; train stakeholders.
