Job summary

Sound Transit in Seattle is seeking a senior engineer to provide traction electrification systems support for the Capital Delivery Department, including the OMF facilities and North Maintenance of Way projects. The role focuses on AC/DC power distribution, OCS, UPS, safety and control systems, and integration with SCADA.

Requires a Bachelor's in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and at least five years in traction electrification, with project management experience; a Professional Engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with five years of traction electrification experience.
• Experience includes project management, systems design, construction and/or operations support.
• Professional Engineering license is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of traction electrification systems, power distribution, and associated control systems.

Responsibilities

• Review contract deliverables and submittals for design development, systems interface coordination, construction, testing and commissioning.
• Input to design requirements based on asset performance and operating needs.
• Develop and implement system enhancements to improve reliability and performance of maintenance facilities and infrastructure.
• Coordinate with activation teams and support contractor commissioning activities.
