Job summary

GFT, a privately held AEC firm, is seeking a Senior Track Engineer to join the Transportation Team in Audubon, PA. This role offers a remote or hybrid work model based on qualifications and experience.

You will lead track design on transit and freight rail projects, manage budgets and schedules, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, compliant designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 15+ years in design of major transit/freight rail projects.
• Experience working with transit agencies and/or Class 1 Railroads.
• Ability to lead civil/track aspects on multiple assignments.
• Proficient with OpenRail Designer and Civil3D.

Responsibilities

• Serve as lead Track Engineer on projects.
• Ensure projects are completed within time and budget.
• Provide team leadership and technical expertise.
• Plan, organize, and supervise junior engineers and technicians.
• Grow and mentor staff and recruit as needed.
• Maintain knowledge through workshops and publications; engage in AREMA.
• Perform independent reviews of major projects.
