WSP Global Inc. in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Supervising Track Engineer to lead railroad and transit design projects from planning through construction and maintenance support.

You will provide design leadership, coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, and foster client relationships with railroads and transit agencies. The role requires a Professional Engineer license, 7–10 years of post-education experience, and mastery of MicroStation, AutoCAD, Civil 3D and OpenRail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or closely related discipline.
• 7–10 years of post-education experience in engineering with transit and rail exposure.
• Professional Engineer license is required.
• Proficient with transit and rail engineering principles, practices and processes.
• Proven ability to deliver railroad and transit design projects as lead designer.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills for diverse audiences.
• Knowledge of infrastructure planning, design, and construction management.

Responsabilités

• Provide design leadership for track design and integration of railroad and transit design projects and pursuits.
• Coordinate and lead engineering efforts on all stages of rail infrastructure projects ranging from planning to design to construction and maintenance support.
• Establish and maintain strong, effective relationships with external clients and market WSP services to local railroads and transit agencies.
• Sustain the growth of younger engineers by assigning appropriate technical tasks and promoting a culture of expanding technical excellence.
