Job summary

WSP USA Kansas City office seeks a Supervising Track Engineer to lead rail track design and project integration from planning through construction. You will manage teams, mentor junior engineers, and develop client relationships with transit agencies, while ensuring QA/QC and safety compliance.

The role requires PE licensure, 7–10 years of rail experience, and strong written and verbal communication. Proficiency with MicroStation, AutoCAD, Civil 3D and OpenRail is preferred; occasional travel

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 7–10 years rail/transit engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer license required.
• Lead designer on rail/transit projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with MicroStation, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, OpenRail.
• Experience with infrastructure planning and construction management.
• Self-leadership with attention to detail and QA/QC.
• Willingness to travel as required.
