Job summary

Google is seeking a seasoned silicon validation engineer in Mountain View to help validate TPU hardware for mobile System on Chip designs. You will craft and execute test plans, run emulation-based pre-silicon validation, and verify post-silicon performance and power against targets.

The role requires a strong background in SoC validation, ML accelerator architecture, ARM cores, and C/C++ test frameworks, with in-person interviews often part of the process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a technical field.
• 8 years of experience in SoC validation.
• Experience with ML accelerator architecture and mobile SoC design.
• Experience with test and verification framework development in C/C++.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on silicon validation for TPU design in mobile SoC.
• Develop test plans, perform pre- and post-silicon validation (Emulation).
• Measure power/performance and compare to pre-silicon goals.
• Coordinate with Software, Architecture, Design and DV teams across stages.

• Collaborate with theteam responsible for Silicon validation of TPU (Tensor ProcessingUnit - Google’s custom ML accelerator) design in mobile System on Chip (SoC).
  
• Develop test plan, perform pre-silicon validation (Emulation) and post-silicon validation.
  
• Conduct power, performance measurement and correlation with pre-silicon goal.
  
• Collaborate with Software (SW), Architecture (Arch), Design, and Design Verification (DV) teams at different stage of the product development.
