Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to own a portfolio including Network Firewall, NAT Gateway, NLB, and GWLB. You will drive complex programs across cross-functional teams, balancing security, availability, and performance for AWS customers.

You'll translate business goals into technical plans, set milestones, and collaborate with product, security, and leadership to deliver high-impact networking solutions at scale in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
• 7+ years working directly with engineering teams.
• 3+ years of software development experience.
• 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams.
• Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end technical programs across the portfolio, including feature launches, infrastructure and fleet improvements, and multi-team initiatives that span several services.
• Drive security and compliance programs, working with internal security and audit teams to find gaps, set priorities for fixes, and track them to completion.
• Align engineering teams on how to architect, plan, and implement improvements and new programs, especially where work cuts across service boundaries.
• Translate business strategy into technical requirements, with clear milestones, owners, and timelines, using both technical and business judgment.
• Raise the operational bar by driving availability, resilience, and operational-readiness programs, and by turning lessons from operational events into lasting mechanisms.
• Partner across functions with Product Management, UX, engineering, security, and leadership to give customers a secure, reliable, high-performance networking experience.
• Think big and look around corners by leading long-range planning and making sure the organization invests in the right areas for the long term.
• Own complex dependencies, including cross-team requirements, release schedules, regional expansion, and trade-off decisions, and communicate status and risks clearly to senior leadership.
