Job summary

Zoox seeks a Manager, Technical Program Management to lead a team coordinating sensor and compute hardware programs and transition them to high-volume serial manufacturing.

The role partners with hardware, software, vehicle engineering, product, manufacturing, and finance leaders to turn priorities into executable plans. You will define milestones, manage budgets, and drive risk mitigation across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in an engineering discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• 12+ years of experience in engineering, technical program management, or management consulting.
• 5+ years of experience managing Technical Program Managers.
• Experience with hardware development, manufacturing processes, and production ramp.
• Experience working with contract manufacturers.

Responsibilities

• Partner with department leaders to translate priorities into product roadmaps, program schedules, and deliverables.
• Oversee technical programs for high-volume serial manufacturing, including production readiness and ramp milestones.
• Coordinate the transition from prototype builds to serial production with engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and contract manufacturing partners.
• Plan and track headcount, budgets, and resources across teams; define ownership and dependencies.
• Define and maintain program management processes, rhythms, and decision forums.
• Identify risks early and coordinate mitigation plans with engineering and manufacturing teams.
• Prepare decision points for leadership meetings with recommendations to resolve blockers.
