Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and complex programs.
• Proven ability to drive release automation and engine performance initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive cross-team program execution for release automation, engine performance, and datalake integration initiatives spanning Amazon EMR, AWS Glue, and Amazon Athena.
• Build and maintain integrated program schedules across the Fundamentals and Engines teams, tracking milestones and dependencies.
• Identify and mitigate risks across teams; escalate early when release issues threaten delivery.
• Define program metrics and dashboards to measure release velocity, pipeline reliability, and performance benchmarks.
• Drive region build programs end-to-end, coordinating infrastructure readiness and service launches across AWS regions.
• Coordinate open-source integration programs for upstream contributions to Spark, Trino, and Iceberg.
• Partner with engineering leaders to balance new capabilities with reliability and operational debt reduction.
• Author and deliver narratives to communicate progress and resource needs to senior leadership.
• Drive continuous improvement in release processes by identifying bottlenecks and automation opportunities.
