Job summary

Amazon Cloud Management Foundations in Seattle is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead enterprise account governance across AWS, translating ambiguity into clear roadmaps. You will own end-to-end programs, collaborating with engineering, product, and security teams to ship governance capabilities used by thousands of builders.

You will build alignment with senior leaders on account classification, access policies, and guardrails as Amazon scales, identify gaps, and drive programs

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
• 7+ years working directly with engineering teams.
• 3+ years of software development experience.
• 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams.
• Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the program strategy for enterprise account governance across Amazon.
• Own cross-organizational programs end-to-end, from requirements through delivery, working with engineering, product, and security teams to ship governance capabilities that thousands of builders depend on.
• Build alignment across senior leaders and stakeholders on how account classification, access policies, and guardrails should evolve as Amazon scales.
• Identify gaps in how accounts are described, organized, and governed today. Propose and drive programs that close those gaps while keeping operational burden low for service owners and developers.
• Establish mechanisms for tracking program health, adoption, and outcomes. Use data to inform prioritization and communicate progress to leadership.
• Develop trusted partnerships with technical and non-technical teams across Amazon's businesses, ensuring governance programs reflect the needs of diverse builders operating at different risk profiles.
• Evaluate complex technical and business requirements, surface tradeoffs and risks early, and drive decisions that balance governance rigor with builder velocity.
