Job summary

Tesla in Austin, TX is seeking a Sr. Technical Program Manager for Manufacturing Engineering, Module & Pack. You will manage program execution from design to factory operations, coordinating with design, manufacturing, quality, facilities, and production teams to align with company priorities.

You will develop and implement tools and processes to accelerate battery manufacturing execution and deliver highly efficient systems, driving cross-functional alignment and timely solutions to challenges.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in engineering and project management.
• Clear communication with technical and non-technical team members.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage conflicting priorities.
• Ability to work cross-functionally, manage large teams, and adapt quickly.
• Experience with high-volume manufacturing and new product introduction.
• Degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage cross-functional teams to ensure successful launches of new manufacturing lines.
• Collaborate with global teams to develop novel and complex automation equipment.
• Create, maintain, and communicate schedules and plans for battery manufacturing projects, including process development, validation, line design, equipment fabrication, FAT, shipping, SAT, and SOP.
• Prepare roll-up information and reports for senior leadership on project status, blockers, and changes.
• Coordinate build milestones with Manufacturing Engineering, Facilities, and Production teams.
• Track equipment readiness, project costs, and drive cost management improvements.
• Provide technical leadership and project management to identify creative, timely solutions to key program challenges.
