Job summary

Lyft is hiring a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead our AI transformation in developer productivity. You will own the roadmap for AI-driven engineering tools and workflows, partnering with engineering and infrastructure teams to deliver measurable improvements in productivity.

The role blends program delivery with product sense, setting priorities and acting as the voice of the customer. Expect in-office hybrid work in NYC with a strong focus on outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Technical Program Management or a TPM/PM hybrid role.
• Background in software, data, or systems engineering.
• Experience owning a roadmap and defining success metrics.
• Experience with developer productivity, tooling, or engineering platforms.
• Hands-on familiarity with AI coding tools (Cursor, Copilot, Claude Code).
• Bonus: experience building AI-native or agentic workflows.
• Strong cross-functional leadership with independent execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead Lyft's AI transformation in developer productivity and shape the strategy for AI-enhanced engineering workflows.
• Own the roadmap, prioritize work, and define success for AI-driven productivity.
• Partner with engineering teams to build AI-native workflows that solve real developer pain.
• Run end-to-end programs, coordinating across infrastructure, developer platforms, and leadership.
• Be the voice of the customer, surface pain points, and feed back into roadmaps.
• Define success metrics, gather requirements, and ensure shipped work solves problems.
• Collaborate with engineers to plan, call out risks early, and keep stakeholders aligned.
• Maintain program health by tracking milestones and removing blockers.
• Ask sharp questions leveraging your technical background and gain team buy-in.
• Share in the team’s release oncall rotation.
