Job summary

Etsy, Inc. is seeking a Staff Tooling & Platform Operations Manager to lead strategic tooling initiatives for our Customer Operations teams and outsourced partner network.

You’ll drive discovery, design, implementation, and post-launch support, translating needs into scalable workflows and measurable improvements for our tools. You will partner with Product, Engineering, and Operations to set priorities, define patterns and standards, and ensure tooling reliability and growth.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in tooling operations, business operations, or related fields.
• Track record leading cross-functional tooling initiatives end-to-end.
• Ability to operate independently as a senior IC and influence without authority.
• Strong program leadership: scope, ownership, timelines, risks, and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Own intake, prioritization, and requirements for tooling workflows.
• Partner with multiple teams to identify tooling friction from feedback and data.
• Lead tooling initiatives from discovery to post-launch support with clear ownership.
• Build scalable tooling solutions, durable standards, and documentation.
• Maintain roadmaps, status updates, and launch checklists.
• Prepare leadership updates on priorities, progress, and risks.
