Job summary

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) seeks a Manufacturing Planner to provide tool and operations planning for production projects.

You will interface with engineering, quality, manufacturing, and shop floor to improve efficiency and implement corrective actions. The role requires a bachelor’s in manufacturing tech or related field plus 6+ years in manufacturing planning, strong MRP knowledge, and DoD clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in manufacturing technology or related field.
• 6+ years in manufacturing planning or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of manufacturing planning principles and MRP systems.
• Ability to apply production concepts to solve complex problems.
• Excellent organizational, drawing interpretation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, and Access; maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently; DoD clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Resolve manufacturing issues and process nonconformance reports.
• Develop and maintain illustrated work instructions.
• Maintain WDS instructions within the Work Order Routing List.
• Interpret engineering drawings and assess impact on processes.
• Issue tool orders to make, alter, or scrap tools as needed.
• Coordinate with manufacturing engineering to implement corrective action.
• Represent the organization as a primary contact on contracts or projects.
• Provide direction to less experienced staff when needed.
• Comply with laws and safety procedures; follow company procedures as assigned.
