Job summary

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) is seeking a production planner to plan, prepare, and control production schedules, coordinating with materials requirements to ensure a smooth flow of approved materials aligned with production needs.

The role supports management by providing status updates on work in progress, material availability, and potential production issues, while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associates degree or equivalent experience.
• Understanding of manufacturing planning principles and accounting concepts.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, issue and control production schedules.
• Develop work orders based on MRP planned orders; guide manufacturing actions.
• Investigate manufacturing issues; provide input for processes and tech.
• Process NCR and ECO dispositions; interpret ECOs affecting stock and WIP.
• Develop standard and non-standard reports; identify and resolve variances.
• Notify management of deviations from established norms; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Maintain safety and confidentiality; work independently or in a team; may work extended hours.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
