Job summary

W3Global is seeking an experienced Tool and Die Maker for our Queens Village, NY site. You will support precision metal stamping operations, work with progressive/multi-slide presses, and build, modify, repair, and maintain tooling. Apprentices and development-minded candidates are encouraged to apply.

You will read engineering drawings, set up lathes, mills, and grinders, and ensure tooling meets tight tolerances while adhering to safety and quality standards in a full-time, on-site environment.

Qualifications

• High school or vocational training required.
• Experience in tool and die making or related machining is preferred.
• Ability to read and write English and interpret drawings.

Responsibilities

• Build, modify, repair, and maintain precision tooling, dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges.
• Operate lathe, milling machine, and grinder to produce tooling components.
• Review drawings and specifications to determine machining requirements.
• Prepare layouts and detailed drawings when required.
• Determine machining methods based on tooling requirements and available equipment.
• Meet established quality, dimensional, and production standards.
• Troubleshoot and adjust tooling to meet specs.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
