Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years' experience as a tool maker for a manufacturing facility.
• Must be able to read blueprints.
• Proficient in using measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and comparators.
• Understanding of slip and press fit relationships.

Responsibilities

• Perform own set-ups and machine/grind all necessary components to support all manufacturing product lines.
• Repair header tools and make complete header tool components.
• Work with carbide, hardened tool steels, dies and cutting tools to close tolerance.
• Work with mills, lathes, surface grinders, hones, and fixtures.
• Use shop math as required.
