RIMEPRO INC in California is seeking a highly skilled Full-time Tool & Die Maker to join our aerospace manufacturing team. The role emphasizes setup, tool repair, and operation of conventional machines to produce high-precision tools and dies.

You will interpret drawings, perform preventive maintenance, mentor junior makers, and support continuous improvement while complying with safety standards. At least 5 years of aerospace tool & die experience and a technical education are preferred.

• Minimum 5 years of Tool & Die Maker experience in aerospace or related manufacturing industries.
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or associate degree preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of materials, metallurgy, and heat treatment for aerospace.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting complex drawings and specifications.
• Experience operating lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses.

Responsabilidades

• Design, fabricate, modify, and repair tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges used in aerospace manufacturing processes for fasteners.
• Set up and operate lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses.
• Interpret drawings and specifications to produce precision tools and dies.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, dies, and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose tool and die issues to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with engineers, production staff, and QA to improve processes and quality.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Full-time Tool & Die Maker to join our top-tier aerospace manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional proficiency in set-up, tool repair, and conventional machines. This role is crucial in maintaining and enhancing our manufacturing capabilities, ensuring the production of high-quality aerospace components that meet stringent industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, fabricate, modify, and repair a wide range of tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges used in aerospace manufacturing processes for fasteners.
• Set up and operate various conventional machines, including lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses
• Interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to produce precision tools and dies
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, dies, and related equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with tools and dies, implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime
• Collaborate with engineers, production staff, and quality control teams to improve manufacturing processes and product quality
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards
• Maintain accurate records of tool and die maintenance, repairs, and modifications
• Train and mentor junior tool and die makers, sharing knowledge and best practices
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste in the manufacturing process
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in tool and die making techniques and technologies

Qualifications and Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or associate degree in tool and die making preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Tool & Die Maker in aerospace or related manufacturing industries
• Extensive knowledge of materials, metallurgy, and heat treatment processes used in aerospace manufacturing
• Proficient in reading and interpreting complex technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
• Expert-level skills in operating conventional machines such as lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses
• Strong understanding of precision measurement techniques and tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, CMM)
• Familiarity with CNC programming and operation is a plus
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime and weekends as needed
