Job summary

Boeing in the United States is seeking a skilled Tool & Die Maker to join our Materials Management & Tooling team onsite at Auburn and Renton, Washington. You will fabricate, repair, and troubleshoot tools, interpret blueprints, and coordinate with cross‑functional groups to meet quality standards in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

The role requires 5+ years in tooling, precise machining, and GD&T, with hands-on experience on CNCs and toolmaker equipment.

Qualifications

5+ years repairing, maintaining, constructing, or inspecting tools and dies.
5+ years machine shop experience, GD&T, and machining capabilities of different materials.
2+ years using complete toolmaker shop equipment (milling, lathe, precision, grinding, polishing, fitting).

Responsibilities

Perform tool fabrication, rework, and repair as required.
Obtain work orders and assign tasks based on schedule and tool availability.
Read work orders and blueprints to identify tasks, tools, and equipment.
Develop plans for fabrication, maintenance, and repair of tools.
Coordinate engineering change requests with internal support groups when necessary.
Determine sequence of tool fabrication work, troubleshoot issues, and develop solutions to production challenges.
Operate machinery including power saws, drill presses, and CNC machines to shape materials.
Move materials using PITs and overhead cranes.
Maintain records and coordinate tooling information across shifts and departments.
Handle hazardous materials in compliance with Boeing procedures.
