Job summary

Jobot in California is seeking a Tool & Die Technician to maintain and improve tooling and dies in a modern aerospace manufacturing facility. This hands-on role offers ownership and visibility within a collaborative team, with a stable, full-time opportunity.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of tool & die maintenance, strong reading of blueprints, and experience with hydraulic/pneumatic systems. CNC CAD skills and welding are valued additions, with competitive hourly compensation.

Qualifications

3+ years tool and die maintenance in manufacturing.
Reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Experience in stamping, machining, or aerospace manufacturing is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

Repair, maintain, and troubleshoot tooling, dies, jigs, fixtures, and machine shop equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance and diagnose mechanical issues to determine corrective actions.
Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble dies and tooling components.
Operate manual machines including mills, grinders, lathes, and drill presses.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Design and fabricate new tools, dies, molds, jigs, and fixtures as needed.
Verify dimensions using precision measuring instruments to ensure tolerances.
Assist with die setups, adjustments, and changeovers.
Monitor tooling performance and recommend improvements to reduce downtime and scrap.
Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve tooling issues.
Follow all safety procedures including lockout/tagout requirements.
