Georg Fischer seeks a skilled Tool and Die Maker to manufacture, repair, and assist in design input for tools, dies, and fixtures. You will use surface grinders, CNC mills/lathes, and metrology tools to maintain tight tolerances and quality.

Your work will require reading technical prints, setting up machines, and performing regular maintenance while adhering to 6S and ISO standards. Collaboration with engineers and production staff is essential for success.

Qualifications

• 4 years experience as Tool and Die Maker.
• Read and interpret technical prints.
• Experience with CAM software is desired.
• Knowledge of precision measurement tools.
• Understanding of grinding principles and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Follow direction from the General Manager of the PBU or his designee.
• Read and interpret technical prints to understand required parts.
• Support 6S standards in the work area and others as needed.
• Use machine tools, welding equipment to manufacture/repair tools and dies.
• Adhere to Environmental, Health & Safety rules when operating machinery.
• Program and run CNC mill and CNC lathe as required.
• Maintain a 40-hour workweek and overtime when needed.
• Set up and run manual mills and lathes as required.
• Inspect finished parts for defects and ensure quality.
• Measure finished parts with micrometers, calipers, gauges.
• Work with engineers to ensure tools meet process needs.
