Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Tool Design Engineer for our Missiles and Fire Control team in Ocala, FL. The role involves creating dies, gauges, jigs, fixtures, prototype models and robotics end-of-arm tooling using 3D modeling software, while accounting for ergonomics, safety and performance constraints.

You will work with CAD/CAM tools to design production or experimental tooling, ensuring robust design integration and adherence to engineering standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks or CREO.
• 5+ years of professional engineering experience.
• U.S. Citizenship required due to facility access.

Responsibilities

• Design dies, gauges, jigs, fixtures, harness boards, prototype models and robotics end-of-arm tooling for production or experimental use.
• Utilize CAD/CAM to design tools and tooling systems.
• Consider ergonomics, safety, economy, mobility and performance requirements when developing solutions.
