Job DescriptionBoyd Thermal by Eaton is seeking a Secondary Operator in our Allenton, WI location.Primary Function:The CNC (Secondary) Operator plays a vital role in Boyd Thermal by Eaton’s Secondary Team, contributing to the efficiency and quality of our die-cast manufacturing operations. In this position, you will be responsible for the secondary processing of die-cast components, ensuring that they meet our quality standards and production timelines. Key responsibilities include operating secondary machinery, performing quality checks, and collaborating with team members to optimize the manufacturing process. This role requires attention to detail, technical skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Adaptability and a team-oriented mindset are crucial as you contribute to the overall success of our manufacturing goals.This position is for 1st shift (7am-3pm or 6a-2p). Position could eventually move to 2nd shift.Base salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.Essential Functions:Operate all department machinery, including CNCs, Shot Blasters, Drill Presses, Belt Sanders, Hot Dip Wash Tanks, and deburring / sanding operations per part process sheetsInspect castings using hand inspection tools, gauges, leak testers, and air gauge equipment per part-specific work instructions. Maintain record of inspectionsRecord good and bad piece counts in ERP production systemComplete production-related documentation accurately and thoroughly (P-Charts, etc.)Maintain a clean and orderly work areaAdhere to all Company policies and procedures related to safety, conduction, and manufacturing practicesMust support and follow the QMS requirementsPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsBasic qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent (GED)Ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the organization on a professional levelBasic reasoning skills and language skills (ability to read, listen, analyze, and interpret general business paperwork)Ability to accurately complete shop paperworkRegularly required to sit, stand, walk, kneel, crouch and use hands to handle tools, parts, and equipmentMust have the ability to occasionally lift up to 50 poundsSpecific vision abilities are required for this job and include close and distance vision, color, peripheral vision, and ability to focusEaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
