Job summary

The Bison Group is seeking a Tier 3 Network Operations Engineer in Reston, VA. You will solve complex tasks with research, teamwork, and coordination, designing and delivering high-level network solutions and writing technical docs for varied audiences.

Responsibilities include network installation, design refinement, troubleshooting, and cross-site coordination. Expect travel to other sites and potential equipment handling as part of duties.

Qualifications

• IAT II and CCNA certifications required.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance with CI Poly or ability to obtain CI poly.
• Ability to obtain CI poly prior to starting.

Responsibilities

• Network implementation and installation of technical projects at a site or locale.
• Facilitating engineering design data calls.
• Identify and recommend network changes for monitoring, management, and operations.
• Troubleshooting network failures and accessibility issues.
• Work independently and in a team.
• Develop network deployment documentation.
• Develop network designs that meet customer requirements.
• Lead research and testing of hardware or software products for performance.
• Design and implement new network solutions.
• Travel to other sites for network operations and administration activities.
• Unpack and move network components as needed.
