Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment seeks a Senior Security Research Engineer to lead vulnerability research and TEM programs. You will guide complex cross-functional workstreams, analyze security risks, and develop remediation strategies across multiple tech domains.

You will partner withInformation Security, engineering, and business teams to implement risk-based prioritization, automation, and scalable workflows while staying current on vulnerabilities and attack frameworks.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in information security with vulnerability management or exposure management.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, information security, or a related discipline.
• Experience leading complex technical workstreams across multiple teams and delivering measurable outcomes.
• Hands-on vulnerability research, analysis, validation, and remediation guidance.
• Experience with vulnerability discovery, assessment, validation, or exposure-management platforms and their integrations.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex Global Vulnerability Management workstreams advancing TEM capabilities.
• Translate TEM goals into delivery plans with milestones and success metrics.
• Perform hands-on vulnerability research and analyses to validate conditions and guide remediation.
• Improve discovery and assessment of vulnerabilities across networks, cloud, endpoints, apps, containers, and databases.
• Develop risk-based prioritization using threat intel, asset context, and remediation considerations.
• Partner with teams to mobilize remediation and measure progress through remediation or disposition.
• Evolve GVM platforms, data, analytics, automation, and AI-enabled workflows for better coverage and speed.
• Communicate vulnerability trends and remediation outcomes to technical and leadership audiences.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to technical standards and procedures.
