Sony Interactive Entertainment seeks a Senior Security Research Engineer to lead Global Vulnerability Management workstreams and advance TEM capabilities. You will partner with security, engineering, and business teams to drive remediation at scale and prioritize risks with data-driven methods.

You will mentor engineers, develop analytics and AI-enabled workflows, and evolve GVM platforms for broader coverage. This role may be remote and requires strong leadership across disciplines.

Formación

• 8+ years of experience in information security, IT, or related field with vulnerability management or exposure management.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, information security, or related discipline.
• Experience leading complex technical workstreams across multiple teams without direct reporting authority.
• Hands‑on vulnerability research, analysis, security validation, and remediation guidance.
• Experience assessing vulnerabilities across OS, networks, cloud, apps, endpoints, containers, databases, or hybrid infra.
• Experience with vulnerability discovery, assessment, validation, or exposure-management platforms and integrations.
• Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK and ability to apply to prioritization.
• Scripting/automation to enhance security analyses (Python, SQL, Bash, PowerShell, JavaScript).
• Ability to connect technical findings with asset, service, business, threat, control, and remediation info.
• Familiarity with software engineering practices (versioning, CI/CD, testing).
• Ability to communicate complex security conditions and recommendations clearly.
• Experience mentoring engineers or analysts across teams.

Responsabilidades

• Lead complex Global Vulnerability Management workstreams advancing TEM capabilities across discovery, prioritization, validation, and mobilization.
• Translate TEM goals into defined plans, milestones, success metrics, and repeatable operating practices.
• Lead hands‑on vulnerability research and technical analysis to confirm conditions and provide remediation guidance.
• Improve discovery and assessment of vulnerabilities across network, cloud, endpoints, apps, containers, and other environments.
• Develop risk‑based prioritization using threat intel, exploitation evidence, asset context, and remediation considerations.
• Lead validation activities and proofs of concept to distinguish material risk and evaluate controls.
• Partner with security and tech owners to mobilize remediation and establish ownership.
• Evolve GVM platforms, data, analytics, automation, and AI‑enabled workflows for scale.
• Communicate vulnerability trends and program outcomes to technical and leadership audiences.
• Mentor engineers, contribute to standards, and improve analysis and delivery quality.
• Maintain knowledge of vulnerabilities, techniques, threat activity and industry practices.
