Job summary

Expel is seeking a Senior Threat Intelligence professional to lead threat analysis and intelligence maturation across our SOC, MDR, and product teams. You will synthesize intel from multiple sources, prioritize operational value, and partner with Product, Engineering, and Marketing to strengthen customer protection.

You'll mentor analysts, translate complex findings for non-technical audiences, and contribute to a culture of practical, measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience analyzing threats from multiple sources and turning findings into actionable guidance.
• Ability to translate technical findings for both practitioners and executives.
• Experience mentoring developing analysts and raising technical proficiency.
• Familiarity with IOCs and TTPs and applying them to defense strategies.
• Ability to review incidents and identify root causes and attacker behavior.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and curate intelligence from open-source reporting, dark web communities, and internal incidents.
• Evaluate threat intelligence for credibility, relevance, likelihood, and operational value.
• Review security incidents identified by Expel's MDR to uncover root causes and attacker techniques.
• Use internal and external data to identify emerging patterns affecting customers.
• Produce clear threat intelligence reports with IOCs, TTPs, impact, and mitigation guidance.
• Communicate findings effectively to technical teams, customers, and executive stakeholders.
