Job summary

Fluence Energy, LLC seeks a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to join the Global Cybersecurity team in Arlington, VA. This hands-on role leads threat detection, investigation, and response across corporate, cloud, and product environments, using Microsoft Sentinel and Defender XDR.

The candidate will mentor junior analysts, own incidents end-to-end, and drive automation through KQL, PowerShell, Python, and SOAR tools. Collaboration with IT, risk, and business teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information security, cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in security operations analysis, incident response, red teaming, penetration testing, IT audit, or enterprise risk management.
• Hands-on experience monitoring and operating SIEM, with depth in Microsoft Sentinel.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender XDR and with network and security technologies.
• Strong scripting and automation experience using PowerShell or Python; familiarity with Logic Apps or SOAR.

Responsibilities

• Conduct threat monitoring and analysis using TDIR tooling, SIEM, and XDR platforms like Microsoft Sentinel and Defender XDR.
• Lead multi-telemetry investigations across endpoint, identity, email, network, and cloud signals.
• Triage alerts, eliminate false positives, and escalate confirmed attacks with evidence.
• Drive advanced threat hunting using KQL and threat intel.
• Document incident reports with timelines, impact, and remediation guidance.
• Develop security metrics and incident trend reporting for leadership.
