Job summary

Otsuka America Pharmaceutical Inc. seeks an Associate Director, Thought Leader Liaison (TLL), Neurology Rare Disease, to lead regional non-sales engagement with thought leaders, centers, and networks.

You’ll translate regional insights into plans, align with Medical Affairs, and support launch readiness both pre- and post-approval. Based in the Central/West region with national responsibilities, you will help address diagnostic and referral barriers, educate stakeholders, and shape disease-state

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; an advanced clinical, scientific, public health or business degree or relevant clinical credential is preferred.
Eight+ years of relevant biopharmaceutical experience including field marketing, TLL, market development or other strategic field roles.
Recent experience in rare or ultra-rare disease, neurology, neuromuscular disease, genetics, or diagnostics preferred.
Demonstrated pre-launch and launch experience with independent, compliant field work.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute a regional plan aligned with national strategy and launch priorities.
Map priority institutions, thought leaders, and referral relationships across the region.
Prioritize engagement and support actions to strengthen regional planning and execution.
Coordinate with Medical Science Liaison teams on shared thought leaders and scientific needs.
Establish and maintain compliant relationships with national and regional experts and centers.
Develop and execute approved disease-state education programs with Marketing, pre- and post-approval requirements.
Identify qualified advisors and promotional faculty following approval; contracting remains with designated functions.
Capture and synthesize aggregate insights from field engagements on disease recognition, testing, counseling, referral, and treatment readiness.
