Otsuka America Pharmaceutical Inc. is seeking an Associate Director, Thought Leader Liaison (TLL) for the Neurology Rare Disease field.

This senior, field-based role partners with Marketing, Medical Affairs, and cross-functional teams to drive disease education, referral pathways, and market development across the Central/West region, with national scope as needed. The TLL leads non-sales engagement, education, and network-building activities before and after regulatory approval, ensuring

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced clinical, scientific, public health or business degree preferred.
• At least eight years of relevant biopharmaceutical experience including field marketing, TLL, market development or related role.
• Recent experience in rare or ultra-rare disease, neurology, neuromuscular disease, genetics, or diagnostics preferred.
• Demonstrated pre-launch and launch experience with distinct pre- and post-approval engagement boundaries.
• Ability to operate independently and compliantly in a field role without established franchise infrastructure.
• Strong clinical and scientific fluency for credible disease-state discussions with senior specialists.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a regional plan aligned with national strategy and launch priorities.
• Map priority institutions, thought leaders, and referral relationships across the region.
• Coordinate with cross-functional partners to translate insights into regional action.
• Lead engagement with national and regional experts, centers, and professional networks.
• Oversee approved non-promotional disease-state education pre-approval and promotional programs post-approval.
