Job summary

MetOx International, Inc. in Houston, TX seeks a Senior Process Engineer to lead sputtering and thin-film deposition for our reel-to-reel HTS platform.

You will design experiments, improve process capability, and collaborate across Materials, Equipment, Manufacturing, Quality, and Operations to scale from development to production. A BS in engineering with 4 years in deposition or related fields is required; advanced degrees preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in chemical/related engineering field; four years in process/manufacturing engineering with sputtering or PVD deposition.
• Advanced degree may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis.
• Experience designing and executing statistically driven process improvement experiments.
• Experience analyzing manufacturing data to improve process capability, product quality, and performance.
• Troubleshooting complex manufacturing processes and implementing sustainable corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Owns development and continuous improvement of sputtering and thin-film deposition processes for the manufacturing platform.
• Defines process capability improvement strategies to increase throughput and reduce variation.
• Evaluates emerging deposition technologies to support future product and scale-up.
• Provides technical leadership across development, pilot, and manufacturing.
• Designs experiments and applies DOE/DOE-based optimization.
• Establishes process controls and monitoring for repeatable performance.
• Partners with cross-functional teams to transition improvements into production.
• Mentors junior engineers in problem solving and statistical thinking.
