Job summary

MetOx International, Inc. is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer focused on MOCVD equipment in Houston, TX.

You will lead design, development, and continuous improvement of mechanical systems for advanced HTS manufacturing platforms and related deposition equipment. Ideal candidates have strong experience in MOCVD/related thin-film deposition, vacuum and thermal systems, and cross-functional collaboration across engineering teams to ensure scalable, reliable equipment for commercial

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with MOCVD, PVD, semiconductor manufacturing equipment or thin-film deposition.
• Strong background in vacuum and thermal systems, precision assemblies and equipment integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and continuous improvement of mechanical systems for MOCVD equipment.
• Apply advanced mechanical engineering principles to solve vacuum, thermal, and precision-assembly challenges.
• Develop core mechanical components, tooling, fixtures, and equipment to improve manufacturability and reliability.
• Collaborate with Process Engineering to translate process specs into robust mechanical designs.
• Perform analysis, testing, and validation to ensure equipment meets requirements.
