Qualifications

• BS or MS in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of process, yield, or manufacturing engineering experience, ideally in semiconductor or precision-materials manufacturing.
• Expertise in PECVD and thin-film deposition processes.
• Proven track record of delivering measurable yield improvement in a high-mix production environment.
• Strong SPC, DOE, capability analysis, and MSA with Minitab proficiency.
• Lean and Six Sigma with structured problem-solving tools (8D, 5 Whys, FMEA, control plans).
• Strong project management and cross-functional leadership skills.
• Ability to work on the manufacturing floor in a fast-paced operation.

Responsibilities

• Yield improvement & defect reduction; own coatings yield roadmap and targets.
• Lead defect analysis to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Serve as SME for PECVD and thin-film coating processes; mentor engineers.
• Design and execute DOEs to optimize parameters and reduce variation.
• Implement process controls and SPC to detect yield failures proactively.
• Lead Lean/Six Sigma projects (DMAIC) to reduce rework and scrap.
• Manage coatings projects end-to-end including changes through Mgmt of Change.
