Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to guide Test Technicians in designing equipment setups and test procedures for major systems in our Columbus, OH Thermal Lab.

You will collaborate with design engineering to ensure procedures and data meet expectations, create test plans for customer demonstrations, and lead test validations and factory witness tests. This hands-on role emphasizes instrumentation calibration and clear communication with internal teams and customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years experience in thermal systems testing.
• Knowledge of Vertiv Thermal Management Products preferred.
• LabView knowledge preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of 3-Phase electrical circuits and digital/electronic circuitry.
• Ability to configure data acquisition systems and read schematics.

Responsibilities

• Direct Test Technicians in daily activity and assignments.
• Ensure test procedures and data meet expectations with design team.
• Create Test Plans for customer equipment demonstrations.
• Review progress and evaluate results.
• Present test results to customers.
• Perform test validations and factory witness tests.
• Calibrate instrumentation in the lab.
• Support engineering and customer teams to deliver quality test products.
