Vertiv is seeking a Test Engineering Technician Supervisor – Second Shift to lead a team of Test Technicians in the Columbus Thermal Lab. You will oversee lab operations, safety, and test quality while partnering with New Product Development and Advanced Engineering to plan and execute design validation testing.

The role emphasizes hands‑on leadership, workload planning, and budget stewardship within a fast‑paced engineering environment, with hours 3pm-11pm est.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent technical/managerial experience.
• 5+ years supporting new product development and validation.
• Proven experience leading technicians in lab/manufacturing.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with test planning, execution, tracking and documentation.
• Ability to meet aggressive NPD timelines.
• Experience addressing employee performance and HR coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate day‑to‑day laboratory operations, including workload planning and test oversight.
• Conduct daily stand‑ups to review priorities and resources.
• Direct and support Test Technicians for safe, efficient test execution.
• Perform lab walk‑throughs for progress, safety, and 5S compliance.
• Collaborate with customers, design engineers, and prototype teams on fixtures.
• Review test results and sign off on release readiness.
• Manage lab facilities, equipment, and purchasing; coordinate calibrations.
