Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Sr. Test Engineer to join our Thermal Lab in Columbus, OH. You will design and develop test procedures, assist in evaluating test equipment, and prepare documented procedures for product testing.

The role is based on-site at Vertiv Thermal Lab, 1050 Dearborn Dr., Columbus, OH 43085, and requires leadership of Test Technicians, collaboration with design engineering, and hands-on testing with instrumentation and data acquisition.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent; thermal/fluid emphasis preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in thermal systems testing.
• Knowledge of Vertiv Thermal Management Products and LabView is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct Test Technicians with Lab Supervisor, assign daily tasks and monitor completion.
• Collaborate with design engineering to ensure test procedures and data meet expectations.
• Create Test Plans for customer equipment demonstrations and review progress and results.
• Present test outcomes to customers and perform validations and Factory Witness Tests.
• Calibrate instrumentation in the lab and support engineering with test set‑ups.
