The Boeing Company in El Segundo, CA is seeking an Experienced Thermal Product Design Engineer to design Thermal Products and establish mechanical systems design for Government and Commercial Satellite Programs.

Ideal candidates have a strong background in thermal and mechanical systems designs and analysis for space applications, and you will work across the product lifecycle from concept to test with collaboration across engineering teams and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences).
• 5+ years’ experience in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 3+ years’ experience with structural design or the design of mechanical sub-systems or components.
• 3+ years of experience with subsystem engineering, including harness, thermal protection system, and/or prop feedlines/layout subsystems.

Responsabilités

• Develop, integrate and document mechanical and fluid system and thermal environment requirements to establish the system design
• Develop, maintain, or modify mechanical and fluid system, component and installation designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Engineering tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle
• Perform, integrate and document mechanical, fluid and thermal analyses and test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications
• Manage supplier development, test and production activities and coordinate with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals
• Develop new design/analysis processes and tools to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort
• Investigate emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements
