Job summary

XNRGY Climate Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior Performance Engineer, Thermal Modeling, to own the physics behind our selection tools. You’ll develop and validate models that determine how our equipment is selected, rated, and represented to customers.

You will work with cutting-edge chiller and data center cooling technologies, validating models against test data and moving tools from test stands to commercial selection software. Hybrid work with some travel is available.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years in HVAC, refrigeration, turbomachinery, or related performance engineering.
• Experience developing and validating empirical or semi-empirical models vs test data.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain thermal/performance models for chiller and air-side systems.
• Validate model predictions against test data and improve accuracy.
• Define test requirements with Testing & Labs and analyses results.
• Translate models and test results into reliable selection logic, including off-design conditions.
• Support AHRI, ASHRAE, AMCA ratings and related documentation.
• Provide technical support to stakeholders and customers.
