Meta is seeking an experienced Thermal Engineer to lead thermal architecture alignment and NPI initiatives across hyperscaler data center environments. You will partner with hardware and data center teams to define thermal management for new compute architectures, bespoke ASICs, and high-density rack deployments, supporting deployment readiness and technical guidance.
The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, vendor engagement with ODM/OEM, and travel up to 25%.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering with thermal or mechanical focus.
- 8+ years in development engineering, system validation, or data center operations.
- Strong communication and cross-functional influence.
- Experience with rack-level cooling design and validation.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive production readiness.
Responsabilités
- Lead architecture reviews for mass production in data centers.
- Deliver technical readiness assessments for deployment alignment.
- Perform airflow and liquid flow analyses and guidance on system control.
- Define requirements for NUDD equipment to support deployment.
- Collaborate to deliver hardware roadmaps and milestones.
- Engage with Meta Data Center Operations to verify deployment needs.
- Work with ODM/OEM vendors on specs and integration strategies.
- Capture lessons learned and develop test cases for future platforms.
- Travel domestically and/or internationally up to 25%.
