Job summary

Meta is seeking a Mechanical Engineer, Infrastructure in Menlo Park, CA to lead the design, prototyping, and testing of devices for AI/ML, servers, storage, networking and Rack & Power used in data centers.

You will collaborate with TPM, hardware, thermal, software, and supply chain teams, validate performance with design tools, and drive production readiness from prototype to final deployment.

Responsibilities

• Lead specifications, design, prototyping, and testing of devices for AI/ML, server, storage, network systems or Rack & Power in data centers.
• Drive mechanical architecture of rackscale products.
• Collaborate with TPM, hardware, thermal, software, supply chain and partners to meet goals and schedules.
• Coordinate with IDC teams for product deployment.
• Validate product performance against requirements using design and simulation tools.
• Perform tolerance analyses at part and assembly levels.
• Iterate design concepts into fast prototypes with the prototyping lab.
• Create test plans and equipment, and conduct testing to verify performance.
• Create documentation and specifications for prototyping, quoting, and production.
• Engage ODM/JDM/CM partners through DFM and verification to move from prototype to production.
