Job summary

TerraPower LLC. in Washington state seeks a Senior Engineer, Thermal Hydraulic Test, to design and run thermal hydraulic tests for the Natrium Demonstration Plant. You will support analyses through calculations, coding benchmarks, and cross‑functional teamwork with engineers across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Engineering.
• +3 years in testing/R&D environment preferred.
• Experience in a laboratory setting.
• Strong thermal-hydraulic analytical skills with one-dimensional network analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply thermal-hydraulic analysis methods (steady state and transient).
• Perform heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and thermodynamics calculations to support analyses.
• Analyze reactor operations and events to establish design limits.
• Conduct multiscale neutronics and thermal-hydraulic analyses.
• Collaborate with other engineering groups on design and testing.
• Benchmark and validate codes for methodology development.
