Compu Dynamics Modular (CDM) is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer (Thermal/Cooling Design) in Ashburn, VA, Chantilly, VA, Dallas, TX, or Houston, TX. You will own thermal engineering and mechanical design for modular data center cooling systems, from heat load analysis to equipment sizing and design for manufacturability.

Responsibilities include selecting and sizing CRAC/CRAH units, CDUs, chillers, and heat exchangers; developing containment strategies; and coordinating with cross-functional

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (required).
• 4–7+ years of experience in thermal engineering, HVAC design, or data center cooling design.
• Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and psychrometrics.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD and Excel for engineering calculations.

Mansioni

• Perform thermal and heat load calculations for IT modules at rack, row, and module levels.
• Develop cooling architectures for high-density AI and HPC loads, including DLC and rear door heat exchangers.
• Produce mechanical drawings, 3D models, P&IDs, and BOMs.
• Coordinate with electrical, structural, and controls disciplines.
