Job summary

Vertiv Corporation seeks an Advanced Thermal Control Engineer to provide expertise in thermal controls algorithm development, with focus on optimization and maintenance routines. You will integrate these algorithms into Vertiv's thermal controls embedded and software platforms across R&D, implementation and testing phases.

You will collaborate with design engineering to build system simulations and drive automated testing by integrating models and algorithms into testing frameworks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience with mechanical system controls and algorithm/code design.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation/Controls, or equivalent.
• Experience with control design and applying algorithms to production code.
• Proficiency in C/C++, Python; familiarity with Git and software environments.
• Knowledge of ML/AI technologies; fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Requirements analysis: requirements gathering, algorithm prototyping, data analysis, test campaign design
• Project management: project planning, task estimation, version control
• Full lifecycle algorithm development: design, review, testing, integration with firmware
• Documentation: program commentary, user guides for service and troubleshooting
• Product testing: unit testing, system integration testing, and field test support
• Leadership: effective lead engineer, positive attitude, creativity, accepts broad responsibility
• Other tasks and activities as required by management
