Job summary

Senior Theatre Practitioner (Bank) at Nuffield Health Wessex Hospital is a part-time bank role within our Nursing team, offering up to £30.00 per hour depending on experience. You’ll be NMC-registered with post-registration theatre experience and mentoring capability, delivering high standards of patient care across general/Urology/Orthopaedics scrub duties.

You’ll lead by example, mentor juniors, and support scheduling, recruitment and training while enjoying autonomy in clinical decisions.

Qualifications

• NMC registered with relevant qualifications.
• Post-registration theatre experience with mentoring ability.
• Experience as a scrub practitioner in general/Urology/Orthopaedics.
• Willingness to work as part of a bank/part-time role.

• Recognise talent and nurture junior colleagues, mentoring them to be the best they can be.
• Use your excellent clinical skills and empathetic approach to meet each patient’s needs.

As a Senior Theatre Practitioner at our Wessex Hospital, you’re registered with the appropriate governing body and you hold the relevant qualifications and experience, including NMC. As well as post-registration experience, you bring knowledge of mentoring and have strong clinical experience.

As a Senior Theatre Practitioner,you will:

Nuffield Health Wessex Hospital is a stunning 46 bedded private hospital in West Hampshire with specialisms in Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, Urology, Women’s Health and Spinal surgery. The hospital also benefits from having onsite Radiology, Pathology, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, so we can give our patients a complete package of care. There are 16 consulting rooms with specialty outpatient rooms, 46 private patient bedrooms with en-suite facilities, 24 hr resident doctor on site (RMO) and four operating theatres and one endoscopy suite. We are looking for an experienced general/Urology/Orthopaedic scrub practitioner to join our bank team.
