Job summary

Lunar Outpost Inc. seeks a Senior Test Systems Engineer to support the AI&T team on the Lunar Terrain Vehicle Services program. You will plan and execute test campaigns, develop test platforms, and lead qualification activities to advance lunar mobility systems and related prototypes.

Ideal candidates have aerospace/engineering backgrounds, 4–8 years of test experience, and familiarity with NASA standards. The role emphasizes cross-disciplinary integration and timely communication across IPTs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 4–8 years of experience developing and executing test/qualification campaigns for NASA class A and/or human-rated vehicles.
• Experience leading engineering test efforts for verification and validation.
• Familiarity with NASA AI&T standards (e.g., SMC-S-016, NASA-STD-8739).
• Strong test documentation writing skills (plans, procedures, reports).

Responsibilities

• Develop test requirements and plans in coordination with IPTs.
• Plan and execute component, subassembly, and subsystem qualification campaigns.
• Lead design, build, and testing of vehicle test platforms and prototypes.
• Develop qualification/test campaign schedules and ensure on-time execution.
• Write test procedures and processes to support qualification at multiple levels.
• Provide inputs to program schedules and budgets and report campaign status.
