Job summary

Broadcom Inc. is seeking a hardware engineer to develop System Level Test PCBs for hyperscale data center applications.

You will design SLT and bench PCBs, capture schematics in Allegro, and build robust component libraries while coordinating with Product Test, Firmware/Software, and Mechanical teams. You will ensure layouts meet electrical and thermal requirements, perform testing, manage vendor deliverables, and maintain design archives.

Qualifications

Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
12+ years of experience developing PCBs through manufacturing and test.
In-depth experience doing schematic capture using Allegro tools.
Experience managing vendors in PCB fabrication and assembly.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Product Test and Firmware/Software teams in SLT system architecture definition.
Design and schematic capture of SLT and bench PCBs using Allegro CAD tools.
Create and manage PCB component libraries using Allegro CAD tools.
Define PCB architectures by collecting design rules and specifications from stakeholders.
Ensure PCB layouts meet electrical requirements with SI engineers.
Evaluate mechanical constraints and thermal solutions with Mechanical engineers.
Audit PCB layouts for design rule checks and proper pinouts/footprints.
Complete and maintain vendor deliverables for fabrication and assembly.
Maintain design file integrity and archival for PCB manufacturing.
Test manufactured PCBs and deploy to internal and external customers.
Manage inventory of PCBs and test status.
Debug and rework changes via ECOs.
