Job summary

Broadcom is seeking a hardware engineer to develop System Level Test PCBs for Broadcom products aimed at hyperscale data centers. You will collaborate with Product Test and Firmware/Software teams to define SLT system architecture and design SLT and bench PCBs using Allegro CAD tools.

You will manage vendor PCB fabrication/assembly, audit layouts for design rules, and ensure mechanical/thermal constraints are met. A 12+ year PCB track record and a degree in Electrical Engineering are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 12+ years of PCB development experience.
• Experience with schematic capture using Allegro.
• Vendor management in PCB fabrication and assembly.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Test and Firmware/Software teams in SLT system architecture definition.
• Design and schematic capture of SLT and bench PCBs for new Broadcom ICs using Allegro CAD tools.
• Create and manage PCB component libraries using Allegro CAD tools.
• Design architecture – gather requirements from stakeholders including customers.
• Work with PCB layout and SI engineers to meet electrical requirements.
• Coordinate with Mechanical engineers and vendors on thermal solutions.
• Audit PCB layouts to ensure design rule checks, pinouts and footprints.
